While most of our artificial turf installations can be made pet-friendly with the use of appropriate antimicrobial infills, we’re proud to offer Play Premier, our specialized pet turf. Play Premier is engineered with pet safety and hygiene in mind.
It boasts several key features:
- Silver Ion Extruded Yarn: Incorporating silver ions directly into the yarn fibers provides continuous antimicrobial protection, inhibiting the growth of bacteria and odors.
- Antimicrobial Glue: The adhesive used in Play Premier is also infused with antimicrobial agents, further enhancing its hygienic properties.
- Permeable Backing: This allows for efficient drainage, preventing liquids from pooling and promoting a cleaner surface.
- Antistatic Properties: This feature reduces static buildup, making it more comfortable for pets to play on.
To further enhance drainage and hygiene, Artificial Grasscapes also offers Air Drain installation. Air drains are a revolutionary system that elevates the turf approximately one inch, creating a 92% air void beneath the surface. This air void facilitates the rapid passage and evaporation of liquids, including pet urine, ensuring a dry and odor-free environment. By elevating the turf, the liquid is able to quickly leave the turf, and evaporate above the grade, and below the turf. This system significantly improves drainage and reduces the risk of bacterial growth, making it an ideal solution for dog boarding places, dog parks, veterinary clinics and any household dealing with a high volume of pets.
